Unrest
06:33
|
|||
The mother’s milk is poisoned
Sweet, corrupting nectar
A fragrant liquor burning
In your mouth
A thousand voices singing
Praises, hoarse with fervor
To drink the dew that glistens
On the venom fang
Fumes are rising
From the rotten earth
Fetid air
Fills ravaged lungs
Breath comes out in curses
Upon the weak
From the hearts
Of those weaker still
It’s in the blood
In your wells
A din of doom
A desperation
A call to arms
A detestation
Keep inhaling the poison
Keep extoling the chosen
Dead verses spit from your tongues
Gasping breath kept from your lungs
Contorted faces haunted by your self-made greed
While you shovel wealth into Moloch’s maw
It’s in the rot
In your walls
Face unrest
In the year of the plague
It’s what’s coming
It’s what you’ve made
It’s in your streams
Your hate-filled dreams

The Blade
04:36
|
|||
With trembling footsteps approaching
Sidelong glances feel the scene
Words of caution still remembered
Someone here holds a poisoned blade
Eyes sting with perspiration
This is danger, this is true
What will they say when they find me?
“He had it coming all along”?
“No way this could’ve been avoided.
Their bloodthirst knows no bounds
And they will stop at nothing
Until they’ve brought us all down”?
Furtive movements in the shadows
Trying to stay out of sight
The rush of blood roaring in my ears
Uncertain fingers feel the blade
This dagger given by my father
How it slips to draw my blood
And as my muscles stop working
I realize the poisoned blade was mine

My Love Is Poisoned
05:56
|
|||
A sacrifice unto the circle of life
Impaired in every way, cast down into the dust
Who am I but a sculpture made of flesh
With seven sins to call my own
My love is poisoned
It tears apart
It turns into resentment
Within your heart
A scarecrow built on fear and greed
Affixed upon a cross to become a tool
Who am I but an icon drenched in piss
A mannequin upon a throne
My love is tainted
Dilute and drained
Its skin is worn by hatred
Into your soul ingrained
It is a shame that my temple is built on
Oppression, slavery and exploitation
Every spire that holds my emblem
Rises higher than the rest
Who am I but the philosopher
Whose works you never read
My love is stolen
Perverted and untrue
It wears a mask of goodness
To hide the hangman’s smile
It is a shame that my temple is built on
Bloodshed, warfare and mass destruction

You Will See the Light
09:17
|
|||
Breathe in deep
And count your steps along this
Darkened hallway
Stick your arms out
And feel for the wall
You’ve turned around
One too many times
You no longer know
Where you came from
Or where you are going
It drains from your memory
Gets lost in the echoes
Of your aimless footfalls
Stand still for a while
And hold your breath
Become aware of others
Stumbling in the dark
Share their hopes and dreams
Their fears and consternations
You will become as if a tribe,
A mob, an army unified
Though you cannot for the life of you
See what you fight
Or who you are hurting
Or who is hurting you
Or who gets buried
In the graves you’ve dug
I am the dread inhabiting your heart
I am the comfort of stagnation
I am your doubt and your mistrust
I am the need to feel superior
I am the knot in your stomach
I am the cold perspiration
I am the gnawing ache in your bones
I am what cries out through your soul
The path in darkness leads to
Utter ruination
Weapons poised to maim and kill
As a first recourse
This is not a place of honor
No great deeds commemorated here
Just waste and radiation
A future for the children
Ask yourself for whom you fight
With your lack of sight
Shield your eyes with all your might
You fucking troglodyte
When some modern Nero
Lights up the night
With atomic fire
You will see the light
So embrace it
The end you’ve written
